We suffer more often in imagination than in reality

How many times have you caught yourself worrying about tomorrow’s presentation, the client’s reaction, or what your boss might say in the next meeting?

Most of the time, the storm in our head feels way bigger than the reality in front of us, sometimes we imagine worst case scenarios of failing a pitch, but in reality the client just asks for a small revision. We rehearse criticism in our head, but in reality our boss simply says, “Good job, let’s improve this part.”. Even we lose sleep over deadlines, but in reality the things always get done.

The truth? The fear in our imagination is often heavier than the challenge itself.

In today’s workplace vibes, emails piling up, whatsapp notifications pinging, hybrid meetings across unit, it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed before anything even happens. But if we pause, breathe, and face tasks one step at a time, reality is rarely as scary as the story we tell (created) ourselves.

Remember this one, Worry is the tax you pay on problems that might never exist. Let’s make today count, worry less, live more.
